O.k., it's probably my tip of the week, or maybe even month.
Ready? Let me set the scene. . .
SuperBoy comes to me after going to the potty.
Me: Did you wash your hands?
SB: Yep.
Me: Let me smell them (checking for soap smell).
SB: (as he's running back to the bathroom), Actually, I didn't.
He knows he's been caught and corrects the mistake himself. I love it, and I get to catch him in this one often because he knows there's no way around it.
Mwah, ah, ah. . . Maniacal mom laugh. . .
If you don't already employ this little trick, give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Oh yes, we do this! LOL Glad to hear it works for someone normal...
Oh...I am an expert breath checker...looking for the scent of toothpaste...and my guy is 13.....LOL
The fanniest is that after some time of mom smelling the hands, the kids do it themselves when they go out of the bathroom!!!
PS:My sis doesn't have 5 daughters (although my brother-in-low like the idea). WE have five girls (2 mine+3 hers=5 girls in a two apartments building)!!!:)
Usually after hand washing, they come and ask me to smell them. But sometimes they tell me that they had their hands washed and i ask them: "Are you sure?", and if they didn't wash them, they tell me: "Not exactly." and they go to wash them. The whole thing have so much fun.
Our little boy would say, "But Mommy, they're not 'tickty' (sticky)" as he was pressing and pulling them apart! I miss those days...... it was precious -- back THEN!
Blessings,
Julie
Oh! I loved Clinton's kiss and miss -- thanks for sharing!!!
Hope that they only smell like soap. lol
