Lemme know what you think of the new background. Does it make the font too hard to read? It seems to make the font a little thin/fine to me. ???

This is my first visit so I don't know how things were before. If you're asking about the blue wallpaper type background, the typeface reads fine in front of it. If you've put a new background for your blog title area, I love the misty trees. I'm a big fan of fog anyway so I always enjoy that type of photo. It looks good there.
