Spring Trip to Maymont. . .

If you ever have the chance to go to Maymont, go! It's an amazing place full of history and built for only TWO people!

This is Rachel, my web-friend-turned-real-friend. I met her on her blog and we met at Maymont this past Saturday. It was SO much fun!

Upon arriving home, we found two of our three black swallowtail butterflies had hatched. Beautiful end to a beautiful day.

Hi, Jenny!
Maymont looks like a beautiful place! How fun that you got to meet a blog friend -- in person!

How Superboy's lip doing? Ouch! That would've just given me a complete heart attack!

Your peas look beautiful! I've got some purple hull that need a trellis attached but it's still so small, I've got more time... going to try to re-plant, AGAIN, the butter beans, tomatoes, and more purple hulls. I'd also like to get some pumpkins in this week-end!?!?!? It's just so dang HOT down here and no rain.... My garden is killing my already low self-esteem.
Are you willing to ship some of your veggies to me!

Many Blessings,
Julie

I love that picture of your daughter (I'm guessing) on the "log" bench it looks like she is in a beaver dam! Cool! I came over to "meet" you from Pioneer Woman.

Hpw wonderful although the black bear is a bit scary. I remember building butterfly boxes with my son when he was a boy and watching everyday until they emerged.

Great photos.
I don't know if you saw Marina's blog. She has a difficult Summer but she's getting better.
