Introducing.......Aspen Simone. . . .

Meet Aspen the cast-iron pig. She'll be going with her knew owner in just a few hours over a couple of mountains to her new home. I bought her for my friend because she LOVES all things when-pigs-fly related.

My idea, goofy as it maybe, is to make a photocopy of one of these Aspen shots and send her to folks willing to show her their area/town. It would be much like Flat Betty or Flat Stanley. I guess that would make her Flat Aspen. LOL! Sorry, mind-in-the-gutter moment. Speaing of which, her name sounds like a pole dancer, which is why I couldn't name my daughter this. So yes, I'm now living vicariously through a cast-iron pig.

Which picture would you choose? Please let me know if you would like to show Aspen around and I'll get her ready!

Oh, Jenny, Jenny, Jenny........
Does Flat Aspen Simone's name really remind you of a pole dancer? You crazy girl!!!!

I have a cousin named Simone. She's quite pretentious and "enlightened" (according to herself) and is a published writer of pornographic (according to me) poetry. Yep, we have LOTS in common! I do love her, but honestly!!!!
Okay, for my mind-in-the-gutter moment -- actually, it wasn't my original thought, she told me this (we were teens, she lives in Chicago and we haven't seen each other in years.) Back to the story.... Her name is pronounced "si-mon" (short i, long o) Well, one of her beyond brilliant ideas was to start saying that her name was pronounced "see-mon" -- do we see where I'm going with this? I didn't, at the time I was only 14.
Well, when she went back to school and told the other kids how to start saying her name, correctly, the boys jumped right on it calling her "semen" -- ugh, yeah. They moved to Colorado a few months later. I'm not sure if she decided to pull that one, again???

Okay, are you thoroughly grossed out, now?!?!? LOL
